BROADWAY U | VOCAL, AUDITION, DANCE COACHING

I want to take a lesson, but I don't know how to choose a teacher!

No problem! We've got lots of great instructors and it may be hard to choose the best one for you.  That's why we do an initial consultation with you where we get to know you, figure out your goals, and match you with the perfect teacher!

What if I have to cancel?

We require at least 24 hours for cancellation; please notify us by email before then if you need to cancel.

Oh no!  I forgot I had a lesson today and I totally missed it.  Can I get a refund?

Our instructors are busy Broadway professionals and their time is very valuable, so if you don't show up for your lesson we still need to pay them for making themselves available.  Thus, there are no refunds for anyone who doesn't show, so make sure to mark it on your calendar!

Do I get a diploma?

No; we don't offer any kind of certification or degree program; we're just a place to take performing arts lessons with amazing Broadway talent.

Is there a Broadway U headquarters in New York where I can take lessons in person?

Right now, all our lessons are online, so you can take them wherever you are in the world!

Do I have to audition?

Not at all!  We take students at all levels.  Our goal is to teach everyone in the world to be their BBS (Best Broadway Self).

What if I've never sung or danced before?

Now's your chance! We do instruction at all levels. What are you waiting for?

I like to use Google Chat (or Skype for Facebook, or ichat, or some other video chat service)...can I take lessons with that instead of Skype?

Right now we're only set up to use Skype, but it's free! Why not download it?

Do I need to find a dance studio if I want to take a dance lesson?

Not at all - you can take a lesson wherever you have an internet connection and enough room to move around.

Are the instructors doing this full-time?

Most of our instructors are working actors -- they are either currently in Broadway shows or national tours, or they have recently appeared in those shows.  Broadway U is a place where they can help support themselves and earn extra money while still working in their field, but for most (if not all) of them, Broadway U isn't the only gig they have going.  They're busy folks and we're grateful to have them!

I'm a super talented person with Broadway and/or national tour experience, as well has experience in dance or vocal instruction; can I teach for Broadway U?
