Jackie Bayne

Jackie is an actor/singer/dancer most recently seen on Broadway in the Tony winning revival of South Pacific at Lincoln Center. Her other Broadway and National Touring credits include Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Christine u/s), Ragtime (Evelyn Nesbit), Some Like It Hot starring Tony Curtis, and the original company of Irving Berlin's White Christmas (Rhoda). Jackie has worked all over the country with a multitude of regional theatres including Goodspeed Opera (Connecticut), Pioneer Theatre (Salt Lake City), Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Art Park (Buffalo), Marriott's Lincolnshire Theater (Chicago), Virginia Musical Theatre, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, and the Pittsburgh Symphony. Favorite roles include Amneris in Aida, Z's Favorite in The Will Rogers Follies, and Charity in Sweet Charity. She has also done commercial, voiceover, television and film work including "Guiding Light" and the HBO movie "Backstreet Justice".

 

Jackie is a graduate of Northwestern University where she received a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and received certificates in both Musical Theatre and Business. As a Broadway performer in New York, she often enjoyed guest instructing various vocal and dance workshops for Camp Broadway. In the summer of 2007, she was asked to lead a student dance intensive at the Maltz Jupiter Theatre where she choreographed for their productions of "Good News" and "The Wiz". From 2009-2010, Jackie trained jazz, tap, and ballet dancers, levels beginning through advanced, at The Craig Wich Studio in Tequesta, Florida. She also choreographed their performing arts conservatory production of "Thoroughly Modern Millie". In the Fall of 2010, Jackie and her husband teamed up to teach an intensive four week Musical Theatre Audition Techniques course for students ages thirteen and older in the Palm Beach area. Additionally, Jackie currently works with the Young Singers of the Palm Beaches, an organization comprised of over two hundred young singers. She stages and choreographs scenes and medleys for several of their choirs, each with over 50 young singers. Finally, Jackie and her husband Jason travel all over the country with their business "Gotham Headshots", regularly coaching college level students and giving various workshops including vocal, acting and dance master classes at universities such as The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, Elon University, New World School of the Arts (Miami), The University of Florida, The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, Rollins College and Texas Christian University.
